Excuse me...is there anyone left in this cesspool of liberal slop that
will stand up for goals, achievement and success? Is there anyone that will stand
with me in denouncing and declaring that "Liberal one-ness" is killing this country?
Is there anyone out there that is proud of who and what they are and thankful for
the God given talents they've received and used....yup, there is. Lately I've been
pleasantly "shocked" by the verbiage and actions of many "millennials" that have
stepped forward and cried out against Socialistic Left-wing Control. They want
to excel, they want to achieve, they want to use their abilities to help
themselves and others. They want to live a life worth living and NOT
be subservient or committed to a government of total control. They don't
want to be pigeon-holed, they want to keep score, they want to win
and above all, they want to reach for the stars of excellence...nothing wrong
with that...nothing. I could have quit. I could have taken an "easy" road. I
could have had life hand me what I wanted and needed. I could have
been "on the dole" with my polio and all the surgeries and all the accidents and
the healing....Yes, sir, I could have applied for and been granted an "easy street"
life...and what a great life it would have been....laying around waiting for my
next government check, tied mentally to "As the World Turns" and listening to the
political mantra of Oprah Winfrey...and then for kicks, drive downtown and pick
up my free cheese and goodies with my other "leachy" friends.....NOT ME. I've got
way too much pride and a competitive spirit that won't allow me to grovel and just
"exist". I've set "goals" in my life that NO ONE
except ME and my lovely wife believed were possible and
I achieved every single one of them. I wanted to be the best in my field of endeavor
and I am. I wanted to look down at the naysayers and yell "how's the weather down
there" - they also had a chance to climb their own "goal ladder" but it was
too much work! In the last few months I've had the opportunity to really "look"
at life and how fleeting it is. I've had some "scares" with blood clots that make
you understand that moment to moment is a cherished commodity....but I've
been blessed, absolutely blessed. With my career achievements, my wonderful family
and the most loving, caring wife, I've been blessed...BUT...I also
tried. I tried my best to be the best and I'll rest peacefully for all eternity
knowing that effort has accomplished! God gave us all the ability to be better
and do better...don't let Him down!
Please tell me that we're all living in a
big dream. Soon we'll all wake up and there won't be a Barack Hussein
Obama, he never was president. America isn't actually headed towards 21
trillion dollars in debt and there never was a disaster like Obamacare. The world
still fears and respects us and we're sending our own astronauts on our own vehicles
to outer space...not hitching rides with the "Ruskies". We're all still
able to live and worship like a cover from the Saturday Evening Post and people
that need help, go to their local church. Please tell me that there is hope and
opportunity and that mean ol' nasty Harry Reid and the Botox Nancy Pelosi
were just passing characters in my dream. Please tell me when I wake up there won't
be any drones in my birdbath or any cameras mounted in my shower. Please tell me
I can still pray to God and worship as I choose and I can still say what I want
to say without being put on the "bad people" list. Please tell me that when I wake
up, America will still have the moral value it did once upon a time...please tell
me all the bad people and harsh times are gone...or I'm just going to roll
over...and go back to sleep...it's better that way!
