"You don't pull on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind,
you don't pull the mask off the Ole' Lone Ranger and you don't mess around
with Jim",.....so says the song, Our Country used to be like that...not
anymore. This particular "Cowpies" may offend some of my readers, but I
will always tell you the truth and it will be blunt. As you may or not know, I
had polio at age five and the disease left me paralyzed from the waist down. I
couldn't walk, I couldn't sit up, I couldn't roll over in bed, the "I Couldn'ts"
kept adding up...without my parents help, I couldn't. A year later, an "angel"
moved to Fort Atkinson Hospital to become the Head of Orthopedic Rehab, her name
was Julane Wolfgram. It was because of this lady's "tough love" (and I mean
tough!) that I developed an "attitude" that would serve me well all of my
life..."don't ever quit, never give up!" I "learned" in grade school
that kid's always go after the "weakest link" to pick on and bully... and at that
time, I was the weakest link. I'd cower and cry, literally,...Oh, please
leave me alone!...Boo Hoo for me! Then one day, schoolyard bully Gary took my Roy
Rogers lunch box and threw the food on the ground (except for the Oreo cookies –
he ate them!) and smashed the lunch box...Boo Hoo for me! I went home with a woe
is me feeling and my destroyed Roy Rogers lunch box only to be really blasted by
my Dad!! Wow!!! My Dad grabbed me by the shirt and down the basement steps we
went and I thought "How'd he get this story all screwed up, I'm
the victim here"!!! Well...Dad proceeded to tell me in no uncertain
terms that the next time anyone took my lunch or destroyed my lunch
box...I'd get a real thrashin' from Him when I got home!!!
For some childish reason, the way this scenario was playing out didn't
seem quite fair! Let's go over the fine points...#1 If someone takes my stuff and
beats the dickens out of me....#2 I'd get a whoopin' worse
from my Dad when I get back to the comforts of home...something wrong with this
picture!? But Dear Readers, there WAS a reason. My Dad
taught me to stand up for myself and my dignity. He taught me to NOT
be aggressive but be prepared to draw a line and never let anyone cross it! (Oh,
what Dad could have done for Obama!!!) Dad used to be a boxer...and
after a few short sessions literally behind the barn...I graduated from the school
of "Hard Knocks"!! NEVER AGAIN did I allow myself
to be cornered, cowered or crushed by anyone - - EVER. Oh, to
be sure, there were some black eyes and bruises, but "they" never dinged up my Roy
Rogers lunch box again. This "don't tread on me" attitude has helped me through
my career,... never back up, never let someone take advantage at your expense...NEVER!
So folks, this is the problem with America today ....the "schoolyard bullies"
of the world have taken our Roy Rogers lunch box and we're not tough enough or they
don't respect us enough, to give it back! It's time for ole' Dad's crash course
in personality adjustment...we'd all be better for it!!
Dumb....sooo dumb. "Legalize" marijuana,yeah man...let's have thousands
of "grass burners" layin' in the City Park doing and contributing nothing...Let's
"legalize" illegal aliens and allow them to drive and have ID's and vote
– yeah let 'em in! Let's "legalize" gay marriage and destroy morality and God's
word – why not? We're modern man! Yeah, let's legalize and promote the killing
of babies and promote abortion through "planned parenthood"...what an obnoxious
name!...Yup, let's "legalize" all the seedy, negative BAD
elements of our society so we can all be on the race track to...hell!...Not
me...I will not follow these vermin back to their rat holes. It's past time
for people, good people to stand up and say enough!...will you stand with me?
