Okay...okay...who spilled red ink on my national map? I left it on my desk
and all but a small portion is covered in RED!....I'll bet
someone, somewhere, asked that question after the "Red Surge" of Republican votes
spread across the U.S.....Oh, Happy Day.... Fantastic ...Yeah Buddy!!...But wait,
there are heavy consequences and responsibilities that go with the
Red Badge of Courage! #1 – The Republicans have a ticking time bomb in the back
pocket of their wranglers and its ticking LOUDER everyday they
fight amongst themselves and get NOTHING DONE! I don't
want lip service and feigned outrage from Boehner and McConnell – I don't
want the good ole' boys like McCain condemning the "Young Guns" like Cruz
and Paul – I want and demand they come together and work for what we want – that's
what we're paying them for!! #2 – Stop trying to be so lovey, dovey
and "nice" to each other and especially the OTHER PARTY
– the "Dim Dems"! You won the election because the American public can't stand
Obama's politics and policies – you didn't get elected because they LOVE
you – you haven't earned "Happy Days" from me! Go to work with a "chip" on your
shoulder and fight for what's right – not for what makes you a status
symbol on the 6 o'clock news. And for Pete's sake, don't surrender your principles
just to get along – fight for what is right and proper – never capitulate –
NEVER! There are two definite sides to every issue – basically a black
or white or a right and wrong. Choose wisely as to where you stand and then –
STAND for your beliefs and standards – DO NOT WEAKEN!
#3 – This one really pulls my cinch tight....talk to your Constituents, talk
to your "back home" media on a regular basis – it's good for you, it's good for
the folks to know and care about what's happening! As you may or may not know,
Congressman Mike Simpson will not call my program because simply put
– his feelings are hurt...boo hoo! Put your "big boy" pants on Mike, and let people
know weekly or biweekly what's going on in these very troubling times! Information
stimulates cooperation and cooperation helps to stimulate results – LET'S GET
TO WORK NOW, Republicans and don't turn the other cheek!
I know they're fattening...with the caramel and whipped cream and all....but doggone...I
love those McDonald's Caramel Frappes! They make me feel good and they're sooo
smooth and delicious!....MMMMMM! I ordered one the other day and never got the
opportunity to let it brighten my day. After going through the drive-in, I dropped
Goober off to get groceries and I went to fuel up at the station down the street.
I jumped out and started the pump ...beautiful day, light breeze...aaah, a fantastic
fall day. Then, over the sound of the whirring fuel pump I heard a slurping noise
and looked inside the cab of my truck to see our mini Aussie, Ruby, - with her nose
stuck through the hole on the plastic cover enjoying the savory remnants of my frappe!
For a brief instant there was a look of "Oh, I'm dead", to a look of "gotcha" as
she jumped into the back seat! And for Pete's sake, how do you spank someone when
there is a ring of whipped cream all around her nose! Oh, well, I'm too fat anyway...I
bought a bottle of water for the trip home...Funny...she left that alone!
