the movie "Cool Hand Luke". And...what we have now is
a failure to communicate – infamous attitude from Cool Hand Barack. Then, of course,
there is the "blonde moment" from White House Spokesperson Marie Harf that, (paraphrase)
the terrorists in the Mid-East need jobs and hope for the future and our kindness
and love...kumbaya, chocolate s'mores and everybody dance around the Maypole! Radical
Islam has an ideology that will not be satisfied until they control the planet with
a 7th Century iron fist control! They don't want job opportunities or stimulating
business options to make their countries better...they want dominance through death
and fear to anyone that believes differently...anyone. We all should be very
worried that this president seems to be a comfort zone for Islam and
a danger zone for Christians! We must demand...yes, demand that this
administration change its left leaning course and veer sharply right to save our
Constitution, our Country and US! God Bless America!
Fridays are my "catch up" day. I'm not on the radio and Goober and I use
that day to do everything we've put off for the last week. Okay...8:30 AM
eye appointment....doctor puts some drops in my eyes, then does some tests...sits
back and gives me a professional analytical review…"You're getting older and don't see as well". Mmmpf – I could have gone
to my horse vet to get the same conclusion...Thank You! That's 200 bucks!
(Every time I see his Porsche I'd, at least, like a ride in the car I'm paying for!)
Next stop...Goober's hairdresser. Well, we're a li'l early...an hour and a half...so
let's get the truck washed. Here...right here, Dear Reader, is where I made
a huge mistake. As we pulled into the car wash, my bride of 43 years asked if Ruby
(our mini-Aussie) has ever been through the car wash?? Naturally,
I said "Certainly—many times"...NOT! Ruby was really quite calm as the attendant
started brushing and wiping off the grime...but disaster was about to strike. Suddenly
the track started pushing my truck into the tunnel and Ruby transformed into a growling
demon of snarls, barks and bites! Lord help us!! As the whirling brushes encircled
my truck, sheer panic and madness took over Ruby's personality as she jumped from
the back seat to the front with snapping jaws and a rabid killer look in her eyes!!
I screamed to my wife "Cover your head and get in a fetal position – we're gonna
die!" All of this as our "cute" li'l house dog turned into the Satan Canine
from hell! Around and around the inside of the cab, Ruby searched for something
to bite and punish...oh please, let this insanity end! Finally, there in the distance...was
sunlight. We were about to end this horrific ordeal! As the tracks pushed
us outside the tunnel and Ruby saw she was "free" of the cavernous monster...she
laid down on the seat console and closed her eyes. The attendant wiped off the
truck, I handed him a tip and he said "What a nice dog"...little did he know that
just moments earlier "this cute nice dog" had caused all the scratches and abrasions
my wife and I were wearing...Nice dog? GRRR!
