I see a lot...sitting on the porch. I see the south mountains where
I've ridden my horses for over 30 years. I see my good friend, Bob Manning and
I, along with Garth Greenwell and others gathering cattle in the crisp, cool days
of October. I see the snow storms and the thunder storms as they provide needed
water to an arid Magic Valley. I see squadrons of ducks and geese flying in formation
over Murtaugh Lake. I see the mountain top that I conquered to spread the ashes
of my "Uncle John" from Wisconsin, he dearly loved Idaho and all of its grandeur.
I see the twin pines Deanne and I planted in 1992...they were scraggly and near
their demise, but I urged Deanne not to dig them up and start over...and
today they are over 30 feet tall and absolutely beautiful. I see my neighbor's
ranch down the road, and his driveway that is a tree lined hallway of beauty in
the fall with a paintbrush of colors. I see my horse trailer...if it could talk,
it would tell you stories of all night drives to rodeos and ropings all over the
west. It would tell you stories about some of the great and not so great
horses I've had in the last 40 plus years. I see my arena, where thousands
of steers have been chased and roped and hundreds of friends have enjoyed "swingin'
a loop"...And after the ropin' was over, I see the benches and chairs by
the barn where we'd sit an' visit and share an adult beverage or two! I also see
in that arena where I was severely injured twice in accidents that only
cowboys can appreciate – deadly and funny at the same time. I see the beautiful
landscaped lawn that my dear Goober and I have patiently nurtured to be an "eye
catcher"...a labor of love. And...above all, I see sitting next to me, a
lady that has devoted her life to me, my business and my horses. That lady
has been totally unselfish and loving to a cowboy that has not been the "poster
boy" for good health and wise investments...Funny how we see things a lot
clearer in older age, much more than the experts think we do....yup, I see
a lot...sitting on the porch.
Mr. President...where are you? WHAT are you doing
to this Country...and why? I've tried to make it perfectly clear with my
radio program and my writings - - I don't like or trust Barack Hussein Obama in
any way, shape or form. He said he was going to "Change
America"...he has...for the worse. We've lost our swagger, our pride...our attitude
of being the best, acting like the best and helping the rest! Obama is an
embarrassment to all the others...(exception to Carter) that have sat behind the
desk in the Oval office...never in my life have I had so much disgust and
contempt for the U.S. Presidency...NEVER! I honestly believe
that gluing the legs, arms, and heads together of auto crash test dummies would
give us a better opportunity to "re-excel" America than it is with
Obama. From his sinister and silly cost ineffective and regressive energy "IDEAS"
to his kill modern medicine "ObamaCare" to his "legacy want list"...a nuclear
deal with sinister deadly Iran, this man and his administration is a joke...but
only liberal clowns are laughing. The speed of our Country's downward spiral is
increasing...someone, SOMEONE has got to "hit the brakes!" God
Bless America!
