Tears welled up in my eyes...I cried. This past week I had a "remote" broadcast at Ramsey Heating in Burley to commemorate Patriots Day 9/11. I've had this broadcast event for over 12 years but this year was very special. A 95 year "young" veteran of World War II walked in, standing tall and proud and asked if he could share his thoughts about patriotism and our military. For the first few minutes I asked him about how he was able to be so spry and alert and he responded that he exercises at a gym every day and walks long distances – he is amazing! Then our conversation turned to his service in WWII flying B-17's and the danger of being a "huge" target. His eyes misted over, his voice cracked, and he told of buddies and friends "gone" in service to America. After our interview, he briskly got up and walked in very proud fashion to his car. I watched him leave and thought "There goes a part of our history and a major reason we're still free today". A very nice, soft spoken man, of average size, but when he walked away, I saw John Wayne personified! Other veterans were there that fought in Vietnam. Again, the misty eyed stare of grim reminders that all wars are hell...and Dear Reader...WE are at war right now and very unfortunately, YOU and I are the targets. Islamic extremism is doubling their efforts of death and hate and WE, private citizens had better be ready to do battle with these satans. Their evil intent is to destroy the values and toughness that has held this country together for over 200 years. I watched the remembrance ceremony of 9/11 on TV this morning, with services at the Memorial in downtown New York and at the Pentagon. The relatives of good, hardworking, red, white and blue Americans that were violently killed that day by vermin driven by a crazed, deranged religion, was still visible in the tears of family members. I pray this insanity of killing, bombing and maiming will stop,...but...WE are going to have to help, WE are going to have to get involved...WE are going to have to fight! If we don't, I'm convinced that tears will well up in all our eyes and WE WILL CRY!

There is nothing more "Autumn in America" than grabbing a coat, a cap and a blanket and heading for a high school football game...I love it! Watching these young athletes put their best effort forward in a team game to win, is what this country is all about! The band playing the school's fight song, the cheerleaders with the pompons, sitting on uncomfortable bleachers, holding a hot cup of chocolate...this is high school football – it's America! And I love it!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!! Now in 101 countries...101!! And not one of them has said they're offended!
