"The way things were...are the way things ought to be". That's the slogan for my program "Zeb at the Ranch" and I believe it. I was going to write about the Russian-US crisis in Syria this "Cowpies", but as of 15 minutes ago, I changed my mind. Some friends of mine, who also advertise on my show, recently had their business' vandalized, merchandise destroyed, and sick perverted "animal actions" left as a calling card...to the scum that did this...you bastards! Good, hardworking Christian folks that get up every day with the worries of the economy, inflation, competition for every dollar, meeting payroll, paying escalating insurance fees, on and on. But, they keep trying, they keep "fighting" to succeed and live life to accomplish their goals and raise their kids to "carry on" in the future. And then, one evening someone or a group of demented souls get together and for kicks, for malice, for tribal leadership..whatever...they wreak hell and havoc on innocent, decent people. Breaking windows, filling basements with water, destroying goods, and then so disgusting and inhuman, defecating and urinating all over the business floor...animals...less than animals. Out in the "country", we have to fear for our haystacks, our machinery, and yes, our animals. Recently a little pony, a little children's pony name "Patches" was chained and dragged down a country road for over a mile and a half...lil' Patches had to be destroyed...sick bastards. Years ago when I was only 13 years old, I started showing horses in 4-H at the Jefferson County Fair. It was a different time and era then...but one I'd love to go back to. One day, the Halter Classes were going full strength and I was in the 13-15 year old bracket. I was just leading my horse out of the barn when a man yelled "That's the no good SOB that tried to kick me last night" and he hit my horse across the rump with a buggy whip! Well, Ole Blaze knocked me into a barrel roll, but before I could get up...there was my Dad. He was a big man, a strong man, an iron worker, and I'll never forget what happened next. With one arm he literally lifted the man up off the ground and sat him on the fender of a nearby trailer and with the other hand slapped the man almost unconscious – this man was lucky – my father could have and would have...killed him. We have got to get back to a respect and moral code of decency, a right and wrong and if you step over that fine line - - you will pay dearly! The bad guys need to be caught, the bad guys need to pay for their crime and destruction and the "BAD GUYS" need to know...their acts of viciousness, destruction and barbarism WILL NOT be tolerated – EVER. I am going to work with business owners and private citizens to establish a reward system leading to the capture and arrest of vermin in our society...The way things were...are the way things ought to be!
