Every day I see the GIFTS that have been given to me. No...I'm not talking about a book on my birthday or a new sweater at Christmas. I'm referring to "gifts" that most of us don't think about or appreciate. When I go into my studio office, I see the many microphones where my and your First Amendment is exercised daily. We still can speak out against evil and scream for change in a country where our voices are still heard, not squelched. Thank you to our forefathers, Washington, Jefferson and thousands of unnamed patriots that risked their lives in a revolution against England to create our blessed United States. I see the mountains and crop filled valleys, the cattle, all the highways and back country roads, the kids playing catch in the backyard, or Dad trying to rebuild a pickup that has seen better days. When I see all that, I'm reminded that a company of Marines died storming a beachhead to preserve "that America" for me. Maybe it was an Army platoon that ran headlong into enemy sniper fire, or maybe it was Navy crewmen dying on a battleship after the torpedoes hit them with deadly force.

When I walk outside in the morning crisp air, I'm reminded that our local police and sheriffs have maintained a "peace" in our environment that WE don't have to lock ourselves into OUR own houses in broad daylight. Sadly too many policemen and law enforcement officers have died trying to protect our lifestyles. I see firemen, literally ignoring all fear, running into burning infernos to rescue others and save lives even at the high risk of losing theirs. My son, Jake, is a fireman and I'm so proud!

I see all of these heroes that are ready, willing and able to protect us...under the flag of the United States of America. Military, police, firemen...they all stand proud of OUR Country and during the playing of our National Anthem, look at their prideful faces with tears in their eyes...they love this Country!

I'm rambling...because I'm mad...really mad. Today, overpaid, under worked athletes are denigrating a Country that has provided them the life of millionaires and celebrity, and they thank this Country by showing disdain and disrespect for our flag and anthem...their offensive actions would not have been tolerated "in my day". My high school coach, Ed Winiarski, would have "drop kicked" any player with that attitude out of the gym and off the team...the way it should be. I have no patience or regard for people that can't and don't appreciate what has been given to them...NONE!

When I hear of our aged WWII Veterans passing away in nursing homes, many that were Medal of Honor recipients or many that received the Purple Heart numerous times...I can honestly say the tears run down my cheeks. When I see on the television news a policeman's funeral, or hear of a firefighter that "didn't make it out" before the flames engulfed him...I cry. These people are the REAL HEROES, the real reason WE still do what we like to do. To the Colin Kaepernicks of the world, and others that have followed his pathetic path...I pity you. You are self-serving blatantly uninformed and completely NAIVE as to what has been provided for you! This language is forthright and honest, you ARE ungrateful bastards, nothing more nothing less...every day I see the gifts that have been given to me!!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!! Now in 110 countries...110!! And not one of them have said they're offended!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Our Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.

Dear Lord: Please Bless and heal this land with your grace and power.
Help us to realize YOU are in charge as you were, as you are now and like
you'll be in the future. Forgive us for "straying off the trail" of what's right
and what's wrong and help us to appreciate what you've blessed us with,
the greatest Country in the world...America!
In Jesus Name.....Amen
