When Jimmie Carter was elected president in the 70's, I didn't sit on the curb and cry and rock back and forth wailing about my future. I didn't link arms with fellow "cryers" and wait for Chicken Little to proclaim "the sky is falling". I could have and probably should have knowing now how devastatingly poor a leader he was. I had a grain company at the time and literally overnight with Carter's absolutely stupid embargo – we were out of business, along with so many others. But we didn't cry or moan or tear our hair out by the handfuls...we went back to work. We did what had to be done to feed our families, pay the bills, and get back on the track to earning a living.
After the election this past Tuesday, the millennials hit the streets with their "crying towels" and "Poor Baby" attitude...it was unbelievable! One of the young women that was interviewed wailed about how her future was gone, the curtains have been closed, there is NO HOPE, Oh Me, Oh My! Another said that NOW Trump would take away her healthcare because she was on her mommy and daddy's policy till she was 26 and she'll have to pay for her birth control pills, Oh Me, Oh My!! One young man said he'd probably have to quit school and get a job!! Aaagh!!! Oh Me, Oh My!!
What is with this millennial generation?? Not all but many are nothing more than teary-eyed woosies that need a good dose of "grow up and act your age"! I have absolutely no sympathy for anyone – young or older that can't rely on their own wits and responsibility to help themselves achieve and sustain. Most of these "Crybabies" are between the ages of 19 – 30 and it's time, now more than ever before, they were taught that the world, you and me, do not owe them a free bus ride to the lunch counter!
I hope and pray that Trump's policies are strong and decisive and that the "Welfare State" in our Country starts to see a dwindling population! Here's a hankie, Millennials, dry your eyes, blow your nose (don't reverse the order!) and walk out the front door into a world that demands YOU to be responsible for...YOU! To all the liberal loons that want to protest and picket or rumble and riot...take that energy and become a productive citizen of this Country instead of a "deadbeat derelict! Here's a pair of scissors, cut the cord and help make America great again!
Oh, by the way, "THANK YOU" to all the folks that ran for office in the last election...win or lose – you were part of what makes this Country sooo much better than any others! It takes a lot of nerve and conviction to put your views out in front of the public for criticism and possible disdain - - thank you for your effort.
As a postscript, I watched the Cubs parade and the teams "Thank You" to the fans...it was so nice. Multimillion dollar ballplayers humbly thanking the millions that turned out to line the downtown streets of Chicago, some that probably don't make enough to spare their tight budgets for ticket money! But they loved the Cubs and the Cubs love them!...must be raining, my eyes are wet!

And not one of them have said they're offended!
