It's that time of the year...the time the "demanders" crawl out from dingy dark caverns to demand that you and I STOP celebrating the real reason for Christmas – the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Ooh cringe, ooh shake and tremble, ooh get wild eyed and mad with anger!!
The "demanders" can't wait for an opportunity to insert their eliteness into your life - - - take down that Nativity, erase that slogan on your window "Jesus the Reason for the Season" - - how dare you say Merry Christmas to strangers on the street!!! This has got to stop! We, the "demanders" have to take control of these demented riffraff that worship God and believe in Christ's birth!!....unfortunately the "demanders" are here in our back yard.
It's so sad to hear of anti-Christmas "demanders" in Massachusetts - "don't you dare tell me Merry Christmas, that's offensive and I'll sue!!" In other states the "demanders" have said "take down that cross, take down that Christmas tree, stop those church bells - - it offends us"!!...Whoa – rein up pard, we need to talk.
Where is the conviction to your faith? Where is your dedication to God's Son!? Where is your backbone to stand tall for what's right? When I look at the Nativity I see peace, love and above all...hope. The Shepherds, the Wise Men, even the animals with their eyes fixed on the Savior of the world...Jesus. From the Gospel of St. Luke - "The Savior – yes the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And – you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger"...the Nativity scene, our Nativity scene...MY Nativity scene! There is NO man, there is NO group, there is NO force that will take Jesus and Christmas from me...ever!
To the "demanders", I pity you for the hopeless, sorrowful beings you are...but I will also pray for you to SEE the Nativity for what it is and what it represents...a serene, beautiful scene that will lead us to eternal life! "Glory to God in highest Heaven, and on earth PEACE, good will to men"! Don't weaken Believers, stand proud! Merry Christmas!
Deanne has, once again, created the Christmas spirit in our home. From the lights to the beautiful tree, the MANY Nativity scenes to the jolly snowmen, giggling and saying "Merry Christmas"… it's great! I love to sit in the living room with the TV and "normal" lights off and just... remember. I "remember" Christmas back home in Wisconsin, all the fun, the snow, the sleigh rides, the school pageant, wonderful church services...WOW! Try it...just sit and remember Christmas for what it was and what it is now!

And not one of them have said they're offended!
