As I write this, 2016 is about to be unsaddled and turned out to pasture. This past year was one of "ouches, aches and healing", but we rode it to a standstill and stepped down looking forward to 2017. I've been doing a lot of soul searching and praying about this next year...what I'm thankful for and what I want to accomplish.

I'm 69 and yes, I've set some "goals" that to many, may seem a lil' lofty and out of reach! I really am committed to do the radio program for another year and I'm going to try to make it even bigger! My wife and business partner, Deanne, has been so helpful and caring to our advertisers – I could not or would not do it without her. That being said, I am going to take some "time off" at the end of January to try to get over the winter "Blahs" and rejuvenate my "get up and go".

To each and every person that reads "Cowpies" and listens to my radio program...THANK YOU!! Both Deanne and I are blessed with your friendship and kindness and as far as New Year's resolutions are concerned...maybe just one. In the Book of James, Chapter One verse 19 and 20...sums up my resolve for 2017. I'm going to try, and if that fails, then TRY HARDER! There are so many verses in the Bible that can help us all...if WE TRY!

This New Year's Eve let's all pause for a moment
, reflect, and then pray that our Country's new leadership can be one of trust, security and...GOOD! Let's look in the mirror and tell that person to be more kind, thoughtful and helpful. Maybe...just maybe, if we all did that our world, our faith and our communities would be a "whole bag of oats" better! This is a "short one" this week with the final thought of "God Bless you all and Happy New Year with the faith that comes from knowing God and his beloved son Jesus"!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!! Now in 110 countries...110!! And not one of them have said they're offended!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Our Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.

Dear Lord: Please Bless and heal this land with your grace and power.
Help us to realize YOU are in charge as you were, as you are now and like
you'll be in the future. Forgive us for "straying off the trail" of what's right
and what's wrong and help us to appreciate what you've blessed us with,
the greatest Country in the world...America!
In Jesus Name.....Amen
