Leave.......NOW! Are you prepared? Yesterday (Thursday) I had a segment on "Disaster Emergency"...what to do, what to take and what to know. Sharon Hardy Mills, a lady that fills in for me on my program, is an expert regarding "Be Prepared!" Lately, with all the natural disasters, Hurricane Harvey and Irma, earthquakes, and yes....the threat of nuclear war, we all should be aware of what we need to do in an emergency. Sharon pointed out that each family member needs to have their own "72 Hour Kit" and put them and leave them by your door to "Grab & Go"! Here's a short list of what you need to have and do:

Never let your cars gas tank go below half full...NEVER!

Make certain you have a couple of blankets stored in the car. With the blankets make sure you have gloves, an extra old coat and water.

In your "72 Hour Kit" for each member of the family include – their prescription medicine, Granola Bars or non heated food, sweat clothes, socks, a cap, ID papers, bottle of water, gloves and maybe even some playing cards, pencils and paper.

Flashlights – extra batteries, "light sticks" - in each bag – if one doesn't work - you have another!

Mom & Dad – make sure you have some cash in your "kit" and even a credit card for emergency use only.

Cell phone charger in car...but remember to grab your CELL PHONE!!

Keep a current Rand-McNally road map in your car!

Have a "plan" to the north – south – east or west....depending on which direction you have to go!

I urge you to have some kind of "family protection" - I'll be blunt, if you have a handgun - - have it...along with extra ammunition!

Remember...in a "state of emergency"...YOU have to make decisions that are paramount to YOUR families safety...BE PREPARED!!
I was impressed...really impressed! This past week our septic system "blew up" and we needed help...NOW! We called Nathan Harris, "Harris Plumbing NG" in Burley and...what an amazing job of "fixing the problem"! Nathan and his brother, Jarrod, literally "worked their tails off" to finish all the digging, pipe laying and more digging in just 6 hours!! But listen to this...they laid my sod back to the point, you could hardly tell there was any digging whatsoever!! In todays world of maybe not too much service with the sale...I absolutely recommend Harris Plumbing NG for their ability and work ethic...WOW! I'm impressed! AAAH!! Flush...flush...and away!!
