Gun Control....Democrats....Evil!!! Stephen Paddock's name invokes all three. Whether he acted alone in his killing frenzy or if he had accomplices, this demon killer may have changed politics and security forever. Shooting down on thousands of innocent, hysterical people trapped within the barricade borders of a huge concert, Stephen Paddock was the face of evil. Where can you go, where can you hide from evil in the world today??....Nowhere. Evil lurks at a street cafe, or at a city council luncheon, or maybe at a night club, or maybe a school yard...evil IS there. I very seldom go anywhere now, that I'm not aware of who's around me, where are the exits or what cover protection is available...I'm constantly putting these thoughts in my memory bank – we all should because we may have to KNOW! I've had some experiences while traveling or announcing at certain venues, that had me very concerned and quite frankly kept my head on a "swivel"! At Dallas - Fort Worth airport, not too long ago, while waiting for a flight I saw three middle eastern folks,...(if you think I'm profiling...I am! So what?) get up from their seats and leave two backpacks on the floor...they walked casually away. After about 10 minutes, my nerves got the best of me and I went to the concourse agent and "DID NOT" ask that the items were checked...I demanded they investigate NOW!! Two other folks on my flight backed me up and within seconds security guards had us all move to another area! Nothing happened...but I'm glad I cried "wolf" and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! At the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, after the bombs had gone off in the park area...yes, all of the Olympics was on a high alert - - so was I. My fear was to be standing up in front 75,000 people and making a good target for a crazed sniper! Don't belittle me or make jest of my fears...you weren't there...you don't know! My "ramblings" are for this purpose...KNOW your environment and how to get away from it...there IS evil out there!
Have you driven into a bank drive-in lately in your pickup?? The sliding drawers are put at an elevation of LOW to possibly mid door height. You "aim" your deposit, like a bombardier and drop your paperwork, hopefully landing in the tray. After the smiling girl processes your deposit, she slides the drawer back to you and then she begins to chortle as you go into inhuman gymnastics trying to reach the deposit slip – its the bank's perverse way of entertaining their employees!
