Old West Texas Judge Roy Bean, the "Law West of the Pecos" would have a "trial", then immediately a verdict and sentencing...most of the time with the help of a rope. Those were harsh and tough times, but, if you stole a horse or cattle or shot someone...it was common knowledge, when caught...you'd take the "kinks out of a lariat"...we need a Judge Roy Bean today. Take a moment and reflect on these cases: an illegal alien, deported numerous times and arrested many times, walks on to a San Francisco pier and shoots, for no reason, a young woman walking with her father! Numerous witnesses saw him do this heinous crime, absolute proof of murder...but his defense attorneys are calling it "an accident"!...where's Judge Roy Bean? Army "Sgt" (?) Bo Bergdahl deserts his post in Afghanistan and winds up in the custody of the Taliban,...a deserter, a traitor to America and his defense attorneys clamor for leniency...his "actions" led to the death and wounding of his fellow soldiers that went looking for him!!...where's Judge Roy Bean? This past week another muslim killer terrorist in New York City, drove a truck down a bike path at full speed, killing eight innocent people and severely injuring a dozen more...no question about his guilt. This ISIS follower gleefully admitted his terror and from his hospital bed said he wished he could have killed more!!!...where's Judge Roy Bean? The murder and mayhem that's being thrust into our everyday lives is astonishing to me. And, the perpetrators know, if caught, the "system" will work for them and they may NEVER meet the justice they deserve! The victims and their family members, totally distraught and shattered, have every right for bitterness against a society that now puts the villain in a more "protected space", and lets the grieving continue possibly forever! This is wrong! Much of what happened in the old west...quick and final judgment, needs to re-occur today....are there any Judge Roy Bean's out there!...I hope so.
Kudos to Major League Baseball, the fans, the players...all of them. I was so pleasantly surprised to watch the seven game World Series and each night the anthem was sung...my heart swelled with pride! Each and everyone of the ballplayers stood with caps over their hearts and, most were singing along with our National Anthem! God Bless Them! Major League Baseball hit a huge home run for their actions and attitudes for respect to our Country...too bad the "lower classed" athletes (??) in the NFL do not have the ability to grasp what has been "given" to them...pathetically shameful!
