My Grandpa was right... "Children should be seen and not heard!" These past two weeks of KIDS, 14, 15, 16 and 17 years of age, going in front of microphones to speak their disgust and supposed hatred of the NRA, the 2nd Amendment and ME as a legal law abiding, gun owning citizen...makes me very angry. Any mass shooting and mayhem should not be thrust upon anyone, regardless of their age or location...and these kids in Florida have gone through hell losing classmates and teachers. But please, let's just "whoa up" a bit and consider all that's going on.
#1 This deranged killer (I will not mention his name) gave plenty of "warning signs" of not "being right" to school and law enforcement officials months and months before carrying out his "threat" - NOBODY STOPPED HIM.
#2 Blame and finger pointing has to fall on the educators, school leadership, the Broward County Sheriff and the FBI – How many times do we hear "This kid is dangerous" before someone takes action to STOP him!?
#3 It has been argued that sheriff's deputies "followed protocol" in NOT going in the school to stop the shooter.....baloney! All that I've read and heard is that law enforcement should have gone in and put the shooter down! One cowardly deputy stayed on the "perimeter" as the deadly devastating shooting continued...how can he look in the mirror??
#4 This deranged killer, I believe, would have used any and all methods to kill...and very sadly...no society is ever going to stop their madness......But, for the left and the democratic leadership like Pelosi and Schumer and Gutierrez to lead these kids of Douglass High School by the hand and use them as pawns for gun control and protesters against the 2nd Amendment with vile and hate against honest God fearing gun owners in America is at the very least....a despicable form of CHILD ABUSE! I sat and listened to every student with their pre-written phrases like "NRA, NRA, How many people did you kill today!?" They stood at podiums and 15 years olds were yelling and screaming what a vile place the U.S. is because of gun ownership and how THEY demanded changes in our Constitution and freedom amendments... they were being coached and coerced the same way it was 79 years ago in Hitler's Germany! Get the kids, mold their minds, use their mouths and gain...CONTROL...I feel sorry for "these kids" because they don't have a clue as to how we've become the best country on the face of the earth...the most freedoms, best lifestyles, most opportunities...all handed to these "young know-nothings" without understanding of the blood, sweat and tears it took to provide for them. Parents, be parents, teach these "Megaphone Mouthed" children, that it would be to their advantage to understand and know how much bloodshed and heartache has been given for them and their future... Grandpa was right...be quiet and learn...then I'll respect your point of view.
