It could have been on the 5th or the 9th or the 21st...but our Independence Day was on July 4, 1776..all of us, at one time or another have mis-stated the celebration of our Country's declaration of freedom to be "The 4th of July"...no...we celebrate our nation's independence from any and all other powers on the 4th of July...Independence Day! In simple terms "we're not beholden to anyone, we're not controlled by anyone and, if anyone tries to enslave or take power over us...God help them. They'll need it!! Power, strength, freedom and undeniable rights endowed by God have blessed this Country for the last almost 250 years...and you and I had better NOT loosen our hold on the reins!! Many of my family members have died for this great Country, and many of my classmates and dear friends. They didn't protest or whine, or stomp on the flag or shout expletives...they went to serve us and fight for US and many, too many, came home with our flag draped over their coffins. They gave all for us. I think of them often and unashamedly, shed tears for them and their families. These brave souls fought for our freedom the SAME as our forefathers did against the tyranny and despotism 250 years ago...they had a pride and love for this land that WE all should strive for. During my career as a professional rodeo announcer, I've announced close to 10,000 performances, yes, 10,000! The Independence Day 4th of July openings, really got to my heart and soul. The solemnity, the thoughts of loved ones and the respect as OUR flag entered the arena, so many times trembled me to tears...I'm not ashamed. Teach your children and grandchildren the correct way to observe this great day...America's Independence Day...celebrated on July 4th! God bless America...I'll say again...GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! The Greatest Country Ever...second to none!!

Happy Independence Day this 4th of July!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!!
Now in 110 countries...110!! And not one of them
have said they're offended!

Our Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge Allegiance to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands,
one nation under God, indivisible,
with Liberty and Justice for all.

Dear Lord: Please Bless and heal this land with your grace and power.
Help us to realize YOU are in charge as you were, as you are now and like
you'll be in the future. Forgive us for "straying off the trail" of what's right
and what's wrong and help us to appreciate what you've blessed us with,
the greatest Country in the world...America!
In Jesus Name.....Amen

Please Read Proverbs Chapter 28 verse 2.
