I'm 73 years old and I still am very nostalgic about Christmas time – past and present. I remember my Mom in the kitchen slamming cupboard doors and the mixer turning out 4000 rpms trying to mix up all the cookie dough and candy. I remember walking by the dining room table that was laden down with goodies and accidentally grabbing 2 or 3 on my swift way out the door. By the time I made it to the breezeway between the house and garage, Mom had discovered my "theft" and some of the words to me were not part of the "Christmas spirit!" I remember Mom and Dad every year buying a Christmas tree that was way too big for our living room, too tall, too wide...but after it was decorated, it was always too perfect!! And later, I remember my son and daughter and the absolute joy Deanne and I had on Christmas morning when we "turned 'em loose" on the presents. I remember the smile on Deanne's face at the end of Christmas day and it's just her and I staring at the tree. Now I crave the gathering of Jake's family and Tobee's as we gather to celebrate...Christmas! Never let anyone or any group destroy our honoring the birth of Jesus, which should be celebrated 365 days a year! On behalf of Deanne and I, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a much better Happier New Year! I'm going to take a week away from "Cowpies" next week...so –
