To my dear readers...I'm sorry I did not get a Cowpies out to you last week. Age, health, job, life sometimes become tangled like a bunch of bungy cords and that's what happened last week...but we move on. For this week I want you to consider gun control and the evil far-reaching effect more control can and will have on your safety. Do not believe for a second that the evil left does not want to take all of your guns – they do and they are trying. If we capitulate on any measure of more gun control, they will creep forward demanding all guns. Without going into extreme detail, there have been two very serious times in my life that I had a gun in my hand and was ready to use it for my protection...I will NEVER give up that security. In both circumstances, cold, gripping fear consumed me, but I was ready to pull the trigger! I'm not "John Wayne", however, every one of us must face the reality of being forced to protect our family and ourselves. I have made the promise to myself that I will never allow anyone to put me in a life ending situation, I will shoot and not second guess my actions. A long time ago, a dear friend told me, he'd much rather be "judged by 12, than carried by 6", think about that. My Dad always said "Never start a fight BUT, if you're in one – WIN!" I'm 73 years old, love my wife dearly and enjoy my lil' ranch and my animals...danger will become a reality if someone tries to disrupt or tear apart our happiness. The police may be called but they're many minutes away – you have to be sure you have those "minutes" - learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones – TODAY!
