Have you heard someone say, "Boy that guy's got it together, he can walk on water!" Nope, nope he can't walk on water...he just knows where the rocks are!! I've tried hard all my life to be successful and competitive at whatever I do. I figure that if what I'm doing is worth my time and effort then...I'm going to load my gun with silver bullets and hit the target! If an event that I'm involved in starts at 7...I'm there at 6, if we're going to rope at 4...I'm saddled at 2:30,...I want to be ready and prepared. While in college, one of the guys that lived in our house would NEVER get out of bed for his 8AM class and when he did show up, he looked like someone had tied him to a roof of a car that had just gone through a car wash! Total mess. He had ALL the talent in the world to be successful in the communications field...but he ended up stocking shelves at a Piggly Wiggly. What a shame he didn't "Step on the Rocks!" There are so many people that God has gifted with enormous talent for various opportunities...but...they lack the innovation and desire to try, really try to be the best they can be...they don't "Step on the Rocks!" I'll be the first to admit that my "competitive attitude" has often times upset friends and family, but this ole' leopard can't and will not change his spots. We all have so little time to do things and accomplish tasks that we have been given the gifts to do...don't waste them!! I know I can't walk on water, but I darn sure know where some of the rocks are that have made me successful...go find YOUR rocks in the water TODAY!
