You and I have worked hard all our lives, and now, we'd like to enjoy some of the "fruits of our labor". I'm 73 and really enjoy doing my radio talk show, but most don't know how much effort goes into producing a daily program. Every Monday through Thursday, Deanne and I are up at 3:45 AM, breakfast, exercise, and in the office by 4:45AM. The reading of all the stories, the countless emails, the phone calls to the east coast to verify story info, confirm guests and phone numbers and develop the "message" that I want to present from each person on the day's show. I'll never forget the day that a listener said to me "MMM, pretty easy job just sitting and talking for 3 hours!!....Really? After the show every day, the preparation starts for the NEXT day, the calling of advertisers, commercials, copy changes, putting together public service announcements, reading and cutting and pasting from two newspapers, and telephone calls, oh boy, numerous telephone CALLS!!! Yeah, it's a piece of cake. But you know what? I love it and really do not want to quit unless forced to. There are NOW, more than ever before, evil and dangerous powers that have already tried to shut me up or pull the program plug. Left wing kooks that have threatened my advertisers and sponsors, and threatened me with financial and physical harm. And NOW, a government that puts conservative talk as a possible red flag of "domestic terrorism", they're watching and listening just waiting for the right circumstance to attack...they're the face of evil! I verify every story I talk about at least twice for truth and facts; therefore, I do not fear these "crawling snakes" when they make their objections and threats. The future...my future is in God's hands, but I will not weaken and run from Satan's brood. God bless you readers and listeners for standing by me and....God Bless America!
