Today....especially TODAY, we need to find "things" that make us laugh. I mean really laugh, belly laugh, streams of giggles and watery eyes, "I'm afraid I'm going to wet my pants" LAUGH! Every morning I wade through all the negative, evil stories in the world that really bring me down, and believe me, I look for good laughs. Some of my best "laughs" have come at the embarrassment of others. That's ok, good solid laughs are healthy. God Bless my very portly grandfather that was helping me start his self-propelled lawnmower and... RMMM! It started up and shot across his yard headed for his neighbor's flower garden and my grandpa looking like a "pumpkin with legs" and his flailing arms yelling for the lawnmower to "STOP"?! I remember my dear friend Fred Stephens. Fred was not small and when he flanked horses at rodeos, let's just say that his wranglers slipped down a bit and there was a "bad moon rising"! One night Fred was ready to flank a horse in the chute right below me in the announcer's stand...EVIL crossed my mind! I took my Big Glass of ice water and waited..waited and then...poured on to the "surface of the moon"! Fred, all 350# of him shot over that buckin' chute into the arena and the cowboy, the buckin' horse, the pickup men, the entire audience wondered what had happened to this large man with wet pants!!! I've never laughed quite that hard! I remember Garth Greenwell's mules all hooked up and really pulling his wagon, but, unfortunately, getting a "little scared" and one going on one side of an electric pole, one on the other, the damage was extensive!! I remember after my knee surgery, I had some trouble swinging that leg over the saddle, so Deanne "helped". She gave me a push in the posterior and I shot over the other side and landed in a pile of ... "fertilizer", but, we laughed, it felt good! Find something to laugh at today (even yourself) it's good for you!

God Bless
