She laid there unconscious...my beautiful bride of 50 years was in a crumpled mess. My dear friend Dave, was the first to get to her and pull her to safety, thank the Lord for him...we were loading steers into a trailer, same way we've done it for 30 years, when suddenly all "heck" broke loose. One steer in the trailer turned back and charged into the six outside and total chaos ensued. They hit the alleyway fencing and turned to run...right at Deanne trying to climb the fence. When the fence buckled she was thrown into the stampede and the steers literally ran over her....I've never been so scared for my God's gift...my wife. I called 911 and in just minutes, help started to arrive...lots of help. Firemen, police, EMS, neighbors, it was unbelievable, and I can never thank them enough. "Goober", my affectionate nickname for my wife, will be okay. She had a mild concussion, severe cuts and abrasions and multiple contusions...but...She Will Be Okay!! Accidents and where and how they happen are looming around us every day...life is so fragile and so altering in the blink of an eye. You've all heard this before... "Life is Precious" – it really is! God bless all of you and...stay safe!
