We woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise, no wind and looking forward to a great day for "enjoying". Deanne and I like to stop at mid-morning and go out on the porch and just visit about "everything" with a cup of coffee...the simple life is good. However, all around us there are many fellow Americans that haven’t got a porch...they don’t have a home! Tears welled up in my eyes watching and listening to people that have lost everything with a double-shot of horror from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. No homes, no vehicles, no food or water, no change of clothes, none of their medicines, no communication, not knowing if their family members or friends are alive or dead...NO HOPE! I prayed for all of those folks – they had nothing. Franklin Graham with “Samaritans Purse” was the first help the chaos and with a fantastic group of Volunteers, they started to ease the pain and suffering with water, food and HELP! I urge all my readers of this blog to “get off the porch” and contribute to “Samaritanspurse.org” and be a big part of helping our fellow Americans.
